1)The early magazine covers were the covers that appeared in the 1800's most of them were plain they didn't have any words on the covers except for the title and a drawing. Most of the covers from the early magazine covers had symbolic pictures on them that might be telling the reader what the magazine is about and the pictures were mostly aimed towards a certain group of people
2)With the poster cover magazines they were designed with no words usually except for the title the colum said that they were designed to tell the reader that they don't need to tell you that there are many articles inside the magazine and the cover pictures were like posters that you would buy at a store.

At this piont in magazine history stars rockers and really popular people started posing for these magazines covers most of the time exsposing there body for the public.
